Oxygen pledges 20 acts of kindness

. . . . . . . . . . . .

It’s a big year for us. We turned 20 this year, and it’s been quite a journey.

From the early days of being a fledgling copywriting agency to our growth into full service marketing communications, we’ve worked with some amazing clients, large and small. I should also say, we’ve worked with some amazing people  – and that includes the great people on the Oxygen team.

That’s why we wanted to celebrate 20 years in business with a pledge to the people in our local communities – to provide 20 acts of kindness.

There’s a genuine reason for embarking on a mission to fulfil 20 acts of kindness. We know they’re going to be big and small, tough and fun, and we’re not going to change the world! But we will help as many people or businesses as we can on this journey, and we’ll work as team to get positive things done.

We’ve started with a financial donation to a local charity, Churches Housing Action Team (CHAT) in Tiverton. There are some huge challenges right now for the local community where we’ve been based for many years. When we spoke with Ali Padfield, CEO at CHAT, and their fundraising manager Holly Sutton we were shocked by how busy they are. Ali told us that in September 2022 alone, they handed out more food from their food bank than the whole of 2019.

Our donation will help support local people through this cost of living crisis, funding around 35 meal packs that will feed a single person for a week – so that’s about 735 breakfasts, lunches and dinners for people who might otherwise go hungry. CHAT does an incredible job and we’re so pleased to help a little bit. So while it’s a small contribution it will make a big difference to local people.  You can read more about this in Devon Live, here.

I hope some of our clients and friends will also join us in making a donation too.

We’re now thinking about how we can fulfil our 20 acts of kindness over the next 12 months. All suggestions are welcome!
