Invest Somerset brand and web design

Oxygen worked with Somerset Council to create the Invest Somerset branding and digital presence to attract business investment to the county.

Invest Somerset is Somerset Council’s inward investment service, promoting the county to business leaders, investors and site selectors looking for the ideal location to relocate or expand. With major development sites, strong transport links and thriving key sectors, Somerset has a compelling story to tell.

But first, the service needed a brand identity. Then a website to match its ambition. We were commissioned to deliver both.

Brand identity development

The Invest Somerset branding project began with a clear brief: create a brand that appeals to business decision-makers – professional and modern, without being overly corporate or traditional.

We developed logo visuals, brand application examples and a comprehensive brand guidelines document to ensure consistency across all touchpoints. The identity needed to align with the new Somerset Unitary Authority while standing on its own as a credible, business-focused brand.

Website development

The Invest Somerset web design needed to match the ambition of the brand. We developed initial wireframes to establish clear user journeys, presenting menu options including mega menus for comparison. Oxygen provided copywriting services throughout.

The site features an interactive map showcasing transport connectivity and key development sites, with dedicated sections for priority sectors including Aerospace, Energy, Manufacturing, Digital, Food and Drink, and Services.
