Oxygen breathes success at business awards
Operating for over 10 years, Oxygen Managing Director Steve Lodge has continued to reinvest in the business. Recently the company moved to larger premises, increased its creative teams, opened a new office in Taunton and launched two complementary printing and copywriting franchise businesses to widen the agency offering.
Steve stated: “2012 has been a fantastic year for Oxygen and this nomination is a great reward for our effort and serves as a great motivator for 2013!”
The awards now in their second year are a celebration of South West businesses and seek to highlight the achievements of the region’s most dynamic companies. The Best Creative Business category recognises those businesses that combine innovation with profitability. Western Morning News editor Bill Martin said: “There were a number of entries in this category and to be named on the shortlist is a huge achievement that everyone at Oxygen should be proud of.”
He continued: “Oxygen is a great example of a South West business that is really going places, it is setting the bar high and this shortlisting is well-deserved recognition of the high standards the business consistently achieves.”
Steve explained: “Within the business landscape, Oxygen is classed as a small marketing agency but our effective award-winning communication solutions attract big brand clients. These include Western Morning News Top 150 companies in addition to international names such as Kia, Hertz, BT, Tena/Bodyform, Philips and Ericsson.”
“Also in our bid to assist local companies in their own development we have taken on work internationally and effectively extend our own service delivery. Earlier this year, we conducted a series of brand workshops in Zurich for Tiverton based Kaba Ltd’s European territories.”
Supporting their continual success, Oxygen has implemented a number of industry practices not traditionally associated with a small business. For the last three years the company has adopted the international quality standard ISO 9001 and the information security standard ISO 27001. In August 2012 Oxygen were once again certified following a rigorous assessment by an independent UKAS-accredited body. These standards create an environment of ongoing self assessment and improvement. Each year Oxygen must demonstrate improvement via assessed objectives which include customer satisfaction and number of customers.
Steve concluded: “Despite the challenging business climate we have achieved phenomenal success this year and it is important to have the chance to celebrate this. The awards demonstrate the West Country is an extremely vibrant business landscape as well as a beautiful place to live and work.”
