It’s not likely that the guitarist from U2 will be browsing your site any time soon but after the 29th July a lot of people will be viewing your website using the new browser from Microsoft called “Microsoft Edge”.
Why? Microsoft are offering a free upgrade to users with compatible computers/operating systems. Globally, this could be as many as 400 million users with Microsoft Edge making Internet Explorer 8, 9, 10 and 11 obsolete.
Microsoft say it is “built to give you a better web experience – one that’s made for easy sharing, reading and researching” which includes personalising it to suit your own interests and preferences. This may be a radical change – and it could adversely effect the way that your website performs when viewed on the new browser.
As with all new technologies there are bound to be bugs and issues but we are here to adapt your website to be compatible with Microsoft Edge.
